I have been playing with it and in the dark and when I cover it up the spot goes away, I just kind of freaked as it was a lot more than my wife wanted me to spend, but I feel in lov with it and had to have it. Do you see this white mark when you view the date area at an angle? Or do you see it when you look at the date straight on? - AT

i see it when I look at it straight on. I can turn the watch and make it go away. So maybe i just overreacted

I have got a 285 and i can see white spots too, which i think its the reflection of light due to the convex/concave nature of the cyclops as when i try to slowly turn the watch from different angle, the spots disappear....cheers, Mat

I've been with it for 4 days and I now agree with your assessment. I just got a little freaked out as it was more than we had planned to spend on a watch. But I love it and am glad I didnt get the 24 Thanks for your response Lo.
