I had the same feelings about Panerai in general...I just thought and assumed they were too big. Then I finally got one a couple months ago and love it. And on top of that, the size works just fine, something different from time to time. Congrats!

Yours is beautiful--the tritium with the tobacco dial is *excellent*. Mine is a 118, so later but still over 20 years old at this point. If you get tired of the closed back and lack of nighttime illumination, I will be happy to swap 😜
