The "clean" bezel and T-swiss made-T dial of the C
are the same as the A and B models. It's also the last 24 with a clean bezel. The 24D has a graded one.
I donāt think they have ever introduced a no-date Submersible, which is unfortunate.
I donāt know the history of Paneraiās decision to introduce a Submersible line, but I always thought it interesting since Panerais are fundamentally dive watches to begin with. Iām assuming the decision came with their entry into the commercial / civilian...

I think it's already reached excellence just as it is! (I'm also a fan of the brushed bezel that came in later.) ...
The cyclops makes it
Without that it would just be an unnecessary date window messing up a simplistic Panerai dial. But the weird under-crystal cyclops ends up adding to the weird textured look of the watch in a way I'm enjoying. I think what I like about this actually comes ...

I had a very early tritium one like this that went with my other Panerai sadly. Truly superb watch. The date with its hidden cyclops is great, but I know weāll have to agree to disagree.
Let us not forget the charming, albeit not really useful, 5 minute ratchet click (IWC, please look)
Yes, for those who do not know, early sub bezels clicked every 5 minutes, not every minute. I know it was A series and I think B. IWC, can you clarify C series for me? I believe D has 1 minute ratchets, I don't recall about C.
