I was lucky to be able to order one new in London back in 2003. I just fell in love with it as soon as it was announced.
I had a deposit down but did not pull the trigger: too big for me. An Aquanaut jumbo won my heart instead in that year.

For those with the wrist for it, yes, it’s the King (or Queen).
For the rest of us, sometimes it’s more like the Joker ! It will always be a defining modern Panerai for me. Just love it. (But couldn’t ever pull it off on my wrist).
