…OMG! Is this where all the money went? ;-D
I don't know what 2010 has in store regarding "more" watches to grab!
Collecting anything is an opportunits's game!
I have been very busy lately with the H1N1 epidemic and vaccine campaign, so I did not give much thought to watches at all... I believed I had had a quiet year of acquisitions in 2009… until I really looked at it closely.
I am ashamed to admit I've been a spendthrift, but quite happy to show you these, in a nutshell:
In the usual order:
- 1946 Omega 18K YG chronomètre, Ref. 2635 with 30 T2 SC RG movement. Nice dial with applied logo. This one currently is being serviced by my watchmaker.
- 1955 Seamaster Ref. 2635-7, which I found with original box & papers. However, the dial is badly restored. I am looking for a replacement, original dial in good condition. If you can help, please contact me!
- 1939 Omega Diplomat. Cal. 38,5 L T1. Gorgeous black dial with golden hands. I love it!
- 1969 gold-plated Seamaster chronometer, Ref. 166.032, Cal. 751. Bought in April from Tim MacKrain.
- 1957 Constellation, Ref. 2852, Cal. 501. Also from Tim MacKrain, so in excellent condition!
- 1968 Omega de Ville chronograph, Ref. 146.017, Cal. 930. Love the date @ 9!
- 1971 Omega Memomatic 166.072, Cal. 980. Nice, but it's not loud enough to wake me up, really…
- Then I also found a number of parts & stuff, not all illustrated: a paper promotional pocket watch, an index wheel for a Cal. 1250 Speedsonic (not mine) (I had to buy three to find a good one in the end…), a white dial for ?? (I'll let you guess…), a gold dial for Cal. 269 (I guess it should fit any Cal. 30?),
- And one gorgeous 1965 Ladymatic in 14K WG. It came back from the shop just in time for Christmas. My wife loves it!
Happy new year to you all!
