Can I
identify my Omega wrist watch by its movement number only?

I thought in was the US ARMY Ref. CK2179 caliber 30 SC T1 or 2. But no US ARMY stamped on case back. Inside Case Reference number is 2179 - 4.
Now I think it is either the ref. 47 or ref. 48. Not sure which? I can't simply measure it (30x5.1) because it is out of the house being serviced.
