So the "4" in the 2179 - 4 is a "batch" number. OK. On mine it is written 2179 - 4. I notice it is also written often as 2179/3.
It seems Omega has poor records for the 1940's, Understandable I suppose.
So it seems to me my Omega wrist watch is the 30SCT216p. (Who knows?)
What good is knowing the mvt number, anyway?
