Hi Thomas,

A fingernail will not be the right tool to open this case I guess as you may hurt yourself seriously on the sharp edge of the case back if you slip by accident...

A good thin knife blade will work perfectly... if you are able to open wrist watches you will also be successful on this one.

Take a loupe and take you some time, don´t hurry, so you will succeed I am sure!

...as some cases of this type have screw-on backs rather than snap-off ones. If so, then you may damage the case by trying to open it with your fingernail. Not to mention the damage to your fingernail. Let a watchmaker do the job properly, gatorcpa
