i wonder what would happen if i did a seamaster roll call. not just sm300's, of which i have 3, but all seamasters from seamster 30's to Aqua terra's. i think we'd have too many to cope with.

AAahh, I understand now. I thought you were referring to the absence of those diamond-shaped subhands, typical of the earliest 2998s. In reality they are not too clean, it must be an unfortunate angle of light, i.e. the picture .... I will take better pic...

your being very self deprecating about your Speedy as apart from a few changes to the movement, from 1969-70 to the present day they are all pretty much the same. some of us like the vintage pieces for our own personal reasons, but others prefer new ones....
