Beautiful Seamastr DeVille
I recently found this beautiful Seamaster DeVille in good conditions, ref. 166.0020 automatic mechanical cal. 562/565 after 1965. It has a mm 34,4 diameter stainless steel case and it's a unishell (case opening on dial side) case back with the typical Seamaster logo; the cream dial has hand-rivetted gold hour markers and “stick ” hands, and the original crystal is of armoured hesalite. Hi anaesdoc, For me the date numbers do not look odd at all - it may be a different iteration. The number "1" is written in "German mode" whereas in your examples it is written in the "Angloamerican mode" maybe this is the reason for the difference? kind ...
