co-axial system is the tops
HI guys.
I have been collecting Omega and Rolex watches for thirty years,all are good watches and time keepers.
However my 2003 seamaster co-axial chronometer wipes the floor with all of them.
Usually averaging out to a few seconds over a six month period.
The best hand made,hand finished,hand timed watch in the world does not come close.
When the COSC tighten up their out of date minus 4 plus six seconds a day,Omega may well end up the top chronometer producer.
Rolex and Breitling will have a tough time against the co-axial system.They may well have to hand time each and every watch they submit ,which will obviously push up their prices.
I suspect the Omega 8500 series of movements to be superior to anything out there.

I'm coming to the conclusion that when Geoge Daniels designed his Co-axial escapement to challenge the stability and accuracy of the quartz wristwatch, and sustain public affection for the mechanical wristwatch he certainly succeeded - in my case at least...
