Had the same reaction when I tried on the very same Ploprof . . .
. . . five years ago.
And I contemplated buying it on the spot - the only hold-up was a lingering uncertainty over the possibility of a Railmaster in the near future. Which, of course, came to pass the following year.
If I could do it all over again, maybe, just maybe, I'd go for the Ploprof and then wait for a manual-winding Rail.

come across a ploprof with orange grey white, it would only be a problem if the owner go to ask to much bucks for it. I wil go to a 2500 dollars max as the ploprof is in a normal condition, papers,box. What is the average price anyway?

I had no clue at all what a ploprof it’s value. But i can imagine that the holy Speedmaster Alaska project goes over a 20K.

to take the plunge. I feel that Omega seems to produce the ploprofs in very small quantities and this might make them harder to get over time.
In theory, you're right - there's still an opportunity for a titanium Ploprof . . .

By far
the nicest Ploprof. The orange and the grey is matching well top. The white lume is terrific. 1200 meter depth. For most diving actions it is enough. But is there a watch for the bottom of the Mariana trench? 10 km depth is very deep, so divers could wear...

The limit for SCUBA with plain air is usually considered 130 feet. The world record with a custom gas mixture is a little over 1000 feet.
You would be okay with the Ploprof. ;-) With a hardsuit you can be sure the person on the other end of the tether is watching the clock. Saturation diving which is what the watch is intended for is another story but you would still be okay.

I actually love this orange version and prefer it without the date as well. The transparent case back is a bonus as the SS model had a solid back 👍
