Omega

has anyone ever encountered the problems that Nilo has stated ?

i appreciate Nilo has said they are 'unsubstantiated', but i'd like to know if they are true before i buy a watch for its looks.

having read things on the interweb today there are a lot of people defaming the watch saying 'easy to buy and hard to sell', but i havent encountered anyone who has actually said 'my 1140 calibre broke' or 'i had to have a new chrono module' etc.

i have found a couple of nice pieces. an all white dial with black bezel from the 90's, a 2006 all white Torino olympic model with same movement (i assume) and finally a white panda dial with date at 4 oclock with the 3304 movement (said to be a VJ 7753). i know people may well say that the date model is just a Paul Newman knock off, but i dont care.

all in all i prefer the all white dial, but i'm not going to buy a watch with proven problems.

any info willingly absorbed
