The lacquered dial gives the watch a luxurious character very different to the usual more "sporty" looks of the regular Speedys. The bright metal markers of hours and minutes add to that look.
I encourage you to visit a Boutique and view it in person and try on your wrist. It is really a different Speedmaster.

I fell in love with the new Black Panda when I viewed it’s deep black lacquered dial in person at the Boutique. I also was surprised with the brilliant metal indexes and minute tracks in contrast. When I viewed the first pictures of this model in Internet...
There have been reverse Pandas and black lacquer Speedy dials before . . .
