Did you know that starting in 1932 at the Olympics in Los Angeles Omega was the first brand to be assigned the responsibility for all timing of the events. You can Google more info. Interesting. Here’s a Seamaster from the late 40’s ...  

. . . and have seen the timers Omega made in 2008 . . . . . . from a stash of movements manufactured in the early '30s. If memory serves correctly the timers were produced in three shades of 18 kt gold and the list price was more than a central tourbillon...
