Hi fellows, as my birthday is "in front of the door"  I want to share with you a marvel which was born in the same year as me... I am not collecting watches from my birth year as a theme like Graham does - I just came across this pink gold chronometer by ...  

And an extra nice treat as it was produced in your birth year. Hooded lugs pink gold omega chronometres are difficult to locate and the condition of this piece is very nice so that's a plus.

That is a very beautiful Omega, i agree on the pink gold and the fact it was manufactured in your birthyear . I have a question on the strap, is that blue or green and where did you get that one, it really fits the pinkgold. Don't drink too much tomorrow,... 

Hi Filip, thank you for your kind words! Concerning your strap question: The strap actually is green genuine "Teju lizard" by Speidel (marked on back)  and came with the watch - so I can not give you an advice concerning the source...  but should be avail... 

I know I have one watch with a Speidel Teju Lizard strap. Don't recall where I got it. Meanwhile, you got yourself a gorgeous watch. We share the same birth year, but I don't think I have any specific 1954 year watches. I come close (1952 and 1956) though... 

I have bought another Omega chronometer from 1954 but I have not received it yet... Will post it later after I have received it. We will never reach the number of "birthday watches" which Graham owns - but do not forget, it is easier to find pieces from 1...

it could be the start of a theme. i only intended to buy a speedmaster and it ballooned from there into the ever increasing ensemble so it could happen to you as for the strap, i think i can point Filip in the direction of a Spiedel teju Lizard. best Grah...
