I like that they made this watch in titanium, which makes the beefy 42mm diameter / 13mm thickness much more wearable. I also really like that they did away with the date, and I can even live with the faux patina. Not a huge fan of the milanese bracelet a... 

. . . price according not just to cost of production, but product perception and market tolerance as well. I wouldn't blame any manufacturer for pricing its goods at the upper end of a production/demand curve. Cordially, Art

I concur with your analysis.

It's one thing to "price...at the upper end" of some theoretical range but charging $9000 for a $5000 watch because it is linked to a movie is beyond that nebulous standard. This is a company milking loyal customers. And it seems to be in Swatch's DNA whe...

My criticism was and is directed at Swatch. Unless, of course, you have insidiously slinked your way into Omega's "Price Committee"... Have you? Guess I'll have to prepare for a thorough interrogation of you when next we meet.

if the price is too steep. But I am certain this watch is a hit for Omega and that they are selling many.

I’m tempted to say I like it, and the truth is that I’m really intrigued and drawn to it for several reasons. However there are also some aspects of the watch that I question. On the pros. I really like the concept of a lightweight titanium watch on Bond.... 

A fantasy watch. For 007 and Craig die hard fans. And it is featured in the movie! The arrow is an obvious reference to military, which Bond is. I don’t mind false patina if it’s done well, and this is. Love the color combo of titanium, lume and matt dial... 

If Walter Mitty were a watch. Everything about it is an artifice: the story, the fauxtina, the bracelet. And I think it is perfect. I am not even bothered about that helium valve. Impressive.
