I like these models very well
Because of the very prominent secondshand indicating from the centre, the (in our perception) little watch used to be popular among workers and nursers in the medical field when checking heart-beat, respiration, blood press. etc.
There were numerous models and sizes, most of them equipped with the (at the time Omega's only) SC movement. There was of course a sub-second 23.4 version as well.
Peculiar is indeed the screw-on back with the THREE notches, which was abandonded again later on. Your specimen looks to be in good nick Bill, attractive find again!

HI Ben I knew you would have a few of these gems. This is the first one I was able to buy! I have always kept an eye out but never came across one ... That has been about 20 years and it has its I think Original box ! And its a Center seconds example. Bes...
Looks like a refinished dial to me, Bill . . .
. . . the outer seconds track between 12 and 3 is bereft of sub-seconds hash marks evident elsewhere, and there's an odd curve to the track right around 12 as well.
Not so sure about that Art,
Maybe this is just optical distortion due to curvature of the glass-rim. The dial seems to be clean and straight, normal logo and brandname; moreover: the 'scientific' graduation (one-fifth-second) is rather awkward and sensitive to mimic in a restoration...

. . . a closer look reveals stubs of the sub-second markers all along the track. It's probably just an optical illusion . . .
