(I really do) for me… I never felt that OMEGA was chasing Rolex in the sense that yes Rolex has a great deal of provenance with submariner / sea dweller but omega has a lot of provenance with Speedmaster and its movements. It may be said that Rolex is the only true James Bond watch, but it also may be said that Omega is the only true moon watch and makes the best movements in the world, which I absolutely believe. That’s why I believe that Rolex has no ownership over the submariner style dive watch anymore that OMEGA Speedmaster has ownership over the Daytona.. the brands inherently chase each other just like Ferrari and Lamborghini chase each other and that’s the beauty of it… The minute there’s a winner or a better the chase ends, which would be tragic….like F1 … Two teams trying to solve the exact same problem and doing it beautifully both of them.

Seems to resemble the ultra deep which is a good thing and the orange bezel is classic,
Odd proportions.
The only thing that comes to mind, I really can't think of anything else. Oh, that and that I don't like it at all.
Well Omega has failed case proportions in the past
At least in my eyes, time and time again. Let’s see if they can get the proportions of this one, specifically case thickness, to a more reasonable spec. 42 x 13 mm for example, would be a huge win for this brand and model

I really don't like how the case and the bracelet "meet", maybe it's just the picture but it looks wrong to me. Also, the color pairing between the arabic numbers and the bezel looks off to me. A real mess if you ask me...

I'm thinking if they make PO's and/or Seamasters the same dimensions as Submariners it may very well open the floodgates for more sales. Many frustrated consumers who are on the "waiting list" at Rolex could turn to Omega.
Delete the helium escape crown and offer date and less expensive no-date versions. If they're chasing profits anyway then just follow the footsteps of the best in the game for that category.
I think it’s time for them to focus on their history instead of trying to make a Submariner lookalike.
Removing the valve makes little to no difference(at least for me). Instead scrap this whole line and reissue the Marine, equipped with the modern technology…
I too enjoy their heritage releases
They’ve done this with the Seamaster Trilogy and 300 Heritage model. It seems they’ve decided that the PO remains their modern core diver . The removal of HE valve and date is a welcoming change for me

No, not at all! But it’s clear as night that Omega is chasing the Rolex color and design in general.
It’s not about owning a concept, it’s about loosing your own identity and copy paste what sells for others. This from a guy who actually liked Omega before Swatch ruinned it… Let alone the outsourced parts and the auction fakery. But everyone’s tolerance ...
