I feel both have their strengths.

The draw of the Canopus is not the dial, although the silvery dial is definitely an allure. The Canopus is about having an icon in PM and flies under the radar.

Very nice! The red really pops on this one🤩

Comparing to other white dial versions, this appears to be a bright white vs silver or cream. I like the bolder text on the sundials and the splash of red and ?orange on the seconds brings in other variations we've seen. ...

Will you have it on the bracelet ?

Then I will have the chance to try it with straps but always will have the bracelet for the change again. Usually to buy the bracelet is more costly as an accessory afterwards. What about you?? Are you considering getting one too?

This is a sapphire sandwich with a shiny lacquer dial anyway so why not include a ceramic bezel at this price point?

It’s not about the money, it’s about the way it will age and the patina it will collect over the years of ownership.

Will need to be a little more careful then since a scuffed bezel will bother me to no end.

.... and this is a nice anecdote: I was invited by Omega in January (2024) and whilst touring the production site in the factory we entered the room, where they test water-proofness of the watches. And whilst we were standing there, the young lady in char...  

Perhaps I was seeing a different version. I guess I'd need to see it in the wild.

Which I can’t say I’m a big fan of and would have preferred a matte dial with a fine grain on this speedy as well. We’ll see.

IMO (don’t hate me).

But I will reserve my opinion until I can see at a shop. White dials can be tricky on sports watches.

The only Omega that had me making a reservation was the Railmaster 60th. If that was a white dial manual wind ranchero, I’d be putting my name down with an AD pronto. Having said that, I am mightily tempted with this one. Never say never

But am I the only one who would be even more excited about a ceramic bezel (instead of the offered aluminum) and 100m water resistance for a sports watch (instead of the offered 50m)? 🙏 All the best Thomas
