It is certainly a nice option, that is for sure.
And I really like the orange accents.
Not over the top with color. Just enough to make it interesting and appealing.
Probably not a Daytona substitute as mere mortals can still buy these Omegas at MSRP (or less!) without pledging a kidney or slavishly buying other less desirable pieces 
And we all know that in this market, the desirability of a watch is directly related to how easily the average consumer can get the piece. Scarcity creates its own demand...

This version looks more like a Daytona ...
And is bigger (44mm .vs. Daytona 40mm) and carries, IMHO, a more modern and reliable movement. Let's not compare those two watches. The Daytona has more history, even considering that the famous Daytona (The Paul Newman) has a pedestrian Valjoux movement....
I like this watch for what it is!
I think it stands on its own merits and doesn’t need to be considered an alternative to the Daytona
