This version looks more like a Daytona ...
And is bigger (44mm .vs. Daytona 40mm) and carries, IMHO, a more modern and reliable movement.
Let's not compare those two watches.
The Daytona has more history, even considering that the famous Daytona (The Paul Newman) has a pedestrian Valjoux movement.
This Speedmaster and I have four versions of it, don't carry history, is just a fantastic watch, IMHO.
Let's not forget that the Speedmaster is resistant (and tested) to a magnetic field of 15000 Gauss.

It is certainly a nice option, that is for sure.
And I really like the orange accents. Not over the top with color. Just enough to make it interesting and appealing. Probably not a Daytona substitute as mere mortals can still buy these Omegas at MSRP (or less!) without pledging a kidney or slavishly buy...

I like this watch for what it is!
I think it stands on its own merits and doesn’t need to be considered an alternative to the Daytona
