It's really quite remarkable that so many well preserved . . .

 

. . . samples from the golden age of Omega have survived until now, locked away in drawers, filing cabinets, shoe boxes, and attics. Here's a movement photo of Scott's linen dial Seamaster . . .




. . . which he sourced from a Swedish collector who in turn had acquired it from the original owner. The story is that the watch was presented as a gift, worn a few times, and then left in a jewelry box for decades until surfacing just recently. The movement is simply immaculate. My pal's '67 600 waves to your '64 from across the pond . . .
