My new local watchmaker find really has been a treat for us to be able to get such a thorough examination of our watches before we leave them for service.
I brought my new King Seiko Hi-beat that was gaining 2 minutes a day, but an examination showed that all it needed was to be regulated and have the beats adjusted. All while we waited!
He worked at Omega in Vienna and as a certified instructor, the guy really knows his stuff.
Art and I had a ball!

Hi Art, everything looks OK - seems to be an "American case". Actually I do not understand the question behind your post (maybe I am a little stupid...) Does this require some experts to verify the movement or case? IMO everything is clear!? kind regards ...

Hi Art, The number G6560 is the ref# of the US case ordered by Morris. The other number is the serial number of the case. Concerning the question about the balance I will have to look it up. kind regards Erich

Art, IMO the G is not for gold, it is just a part of the ref#... but I stand corrected if somebody knows it better... Concerning the balance screws: When looking closely on your pictures I think there are balance screws... or do I become blind with age? b...
I've increased the magnification of the image . . .
. . . on my Mac and can barely make out images of screws on the balance rim, so hoi's conjecture that the balance was in motion when the photo was taken is probably right . . .

Balance with screws.
If you want to see those screws, you have to wait until it stops then take pics.
This is a little embarrassing, but my recollection . . .
. . . is the movement wasn't powered up when the pics were taken. It's possible that it was barely running. In any case, I'll make note of the balance when I retrieve it from service.
