Hi people. Today I`ve got a Omega solid gold Centenary. The watch is in a mint condition, works well and was a good deal. I`ve never had this model so, there is some shots for you to help me realize the good and the bad aspects. Thank you!...  

Hi Mac, sorry to tell you that there are several flaws to mention: 1) dial is a very bad re-paint 2) crown is wrong 3) movement is in bad condition (plating loss), tarnishing hope you did not overpay! regards erich

I know there are problems, but I want to be sure of them. I did not overpayd, it was a bargain... That`s why I took the chance. Thank you very much for enlighten me!.

. . . but I would add that this is a highly desirable Omega, and well worth the search for an original dial. Given that so many movements and dials are now appearing on ebay as cases are being scrapped for their gold content, it would be worth your while ...

the emblem from the early series is like new ! most are well worn and many vanished at all from wear.... enjoy it ! dials should come your way. if not, look up the dial restorer causemann in germany. his font is pretty good. kind regards. achim

Do please keep in mind the original dial that comes with this watch is made of 'solid 18k gold' Maybe worth your time to check whether your watch retains its original solid gold dial plate, under its obviously refinished surface, or whether the plate has ...
