Omega Aqua Terra Blue AKA Skyfall

Good Day Fellas,

Let's start with the definition of "Love at first sight":

1)An Instantaneous Attraction to someone or something
2)An eloquent equivalent of lust - intense desire or craving

It started with a casual walk into the AD with a friend, who wanted to explore some of the daytonas and perhaps get one. I was a spectator, not a predator. So I was bored with the usual pieces i always look at, and me was just walking to the Omega section to view the new blue PO titanium, when this sneaky bugger caught my eye:

The newly released Omega Aqua Terra 38.5mm Skyfall edition

As I saw it, the blue instantly attracted me. It is not a normal blue, but a deep dark blue which can look black at certain angles. The way light dances around the dial is magical, so I took it out, and i knew it had to be mine, no buts about it. It's been a long time since watch and man has united in destiny, after years and years of seeing pieces which are:

1) must-have but made of unobtanium. E.g. The Ballouard Upside-Down watch

2) good looking in press releases but not wearable due weird proportions. E.g. the 1931 you-know-what

3) seen on the wrists of bling bling middle kingdom folks

The 8500 Co-axial calibre is a plus point. It is mesmezing seeing the co-axial mechanism gyrate. The Si-14 hairspring is an unusual colour too. 60 hours of power reserve on a full-wind.

Enjoyed wearing it so much that it remained on my wrist for 7 days 7 nights.

The only gripe I have if it(though a minor one), is that for some strange reason, the calibre 8500 was made without a quick set date, instead, it has the independent hour setting function. It took me 60 full crown rotations to set a date correct.

Simply, nice, elegant. It is a winner!
