Omega

Hi all, was wondering if anyone has any information on the Omegamatic I just purchased, it was a last minute impulse buy, but I can only find black faced models online, can anyone help? Many Thanks Russell...  

I wanted one of these from the first release. I came close on 2 occaisions but never had the funds. As I recall, Omega had some Power reserve issues with this hybrid. Overall, I like the look but mostly, I like the uniqueness. Enjoy it.

it works in basically the same way as Seiko Kinetics, but seemingly without the problems Seiko had with their first AGS movements. i had mine for 2 or 3 years and it worked faultlessly. a nice looking watch with well finished dial and hands. a bit of a cr... 

Hi Graham, I also understand that such movements housed in swiss watches are called autoquartz manufactured by ETA as contrast to kinetics used by the Japanese. The company ceased to produce anymore such movements in 2006 with reason that it needs to dive...
