I have invited the Speedmasters to the SM300 welcome back party and the thing has degenerated into an orgy ;-)...  

not sure about the second hand, but it goes round once a minute so what more should i be looking for can mine join in, a couple of little brothers and sisters. if you find anyone who can redo the bezel numbers please let me know. best Graham...  

This Early SM 300 ( Am I right in the denomination ? ) is getting very high in my wish list, since I saw Mr " Fifty Quids " one! I love a lot the dial, these pseical hands, and the thin and beautiful bezel. Will have to find one, now!!! Damn Jeff and Grah...

it does look a bit out of place. perhasp staining it with tea would improve it. it just seems so clean that it stands out from the rest. if it blended with the other patination it wouldnt be so obvious. i think you owe Joe big time for all those parts. be...

you do indeed see some with lollipops on, but they arent correct. they do look funky though best Graham

i think i can Jeff. i have several books on speedmasters including an excellent one from Japan. i've also read all the sites i can find and there is no picture anywhere of an OEM Speedmaster with a lollipop hand. the 2915 has a non lumed thin needle point... 

was standard on some 2998-1 and 2998-2 speedmasters.

as I have seen several examples of Speedmasters with "aged" lolipop hands. But they are much rarer than the straight hands. Concerning the Seamaster, I have just found this original Omega document that proves that hands similar to mine have been used on t...

Jeff, i stand corrected on the SM300 lollipops as i am more than happy to admit, but at this point i believe lollipops were never a factory part for the speedy. i've put a more detailed explaination in reply to MSNwatch. the best ref books i've ever found... 

i think we need Bill to answer this one. i have searched every reference i have on speedmasters which is quite extensive and also gone through Chuck's site with a fine tooth comb and can find no picture or verbal mention of lollipop hands on speedmasters.... 

as I have found several Lolipop 2998's in Goldberer's Omeag Sportswatches book: (Photo Goldberger)...

it looks to be in uncommonly good condition. if its a replacement insert i'd like to know where it came from. alternatively i'd really like my numerals redone, but unless its perfect it will look rubbish. perhaps best to leave it original. its also really...
