What case reference is that?
The first Constellations came out in the early 1950's. They were Globemasters in the US for a couple years because of some kind of trademark issue, and switched to Constellation like everywhere else in 1954. You can learn just about all you need to know if you search for Constellation Collector's Blogspot.
Did you have the dial refinished or did you buy it like that? Here's what the font and crown should look like:
Regardless, it's a nice watch. The 1950's gold pie pans are really starting to rise in price.
