whilst i was at a jeweler selling one of my watches (the fellow and i were straight, direct and it went well -- i'm not selling to make a profit!)...
I was pleasantly surprised to see this little lovely piece in the general showcase - paris edition bronze gold bg859... the watch is no longer available online from omega.
the bronze gold is a very soft gold, not orange-bronze at all, and the silver dial is charming.
it wears very well at 39 mm, 11.7 cm thick with domed sapphire crystal.
for someone who typically is not interested in yellow gold watches, i certainly would enjoy wearing this and believe it would be quite versatile, something that yellow gold case watches in my mind are not.
the textured silver dial is fantastic. although i never was able to see/hold the original steel 859, i dare say this iteration is better than the original sector dial piece.
my ownly nit to pick (doesn't there always seem to be one!) is the caseback. the closed caseback is fine, but i would have preferred a normal engraved closed caseback, not one referencing the paris 2024 olympics...
