I came across a photo of this 40mm, 18K white gold watch that I'd saved three years ago. It must have been sitting there and in the back of my mind, gestating, until it welled up and I had to do something about it. Fortunately it worked out and I now have...  

...I would probably own this watch. The case is stunning. But at least they put some thought into the date typeface unlike (cough) Patek and most others...

agree. I love this watch but the date and the signature “egg” throw off the whole vibe.

Yes, there could be some changes to make it better, but still an awesome watch. Parmigiani deserves more attention.

I had the pleasure to try one in December (but a different model with the triple date at the bottom) didn't go for it but I am glad you did

love your new acquisition Don't understand people complaining about the dial cause most of the times I also prefer watches without date... but in this case its perfect done. You barely see it, would have been worse if it were in the black part of the dial... 

As for fixations with any one feature (to the exclusion of all else), it's repetitive are monotonous... I too have watches that I think are let down in some way, but it doesn't matter. Love conquers all!
