Actually I'm not really a moon phase geek !
I'm just trying to figure out how accurate is the moon phase and how/when to set it correctly on this watch.
I know you were the owner of this watch a few years ago.
I can even remember you were finally fed up to adjust the moon phase when not wearing the watch for a long period of time.
That's the reason you sell this watch, right ? ...and surely to finance also another masterpiece ! ;-)
To solve this big con... I intend to buy a watch winder specifically for this watch.
But maybe you are not a big fan of watch winders or you just need too much watch winders for your huge watch collection. LOL
Regarding the "iconic" word, I should have used it more carefully... I'm a young padawan in the horological world.
In fact, I was just talking about Nautilus in general and in particular, not about the 5712.
I know also that you might replace your previous love&hate 5712 by a 3700... if it is not the case already ;-)
Now aesthetically and mechanically speaking, I'm totally dazzled by the 240 caliber of the 5712.
The micro-rotor is so cute and beautiful and you can see better the main parts of the caliber than any other watch.
But you already know that of course !
