First time Patek owner has a few questions
Let me thank everyone in advance for any and all posts.
I just purchased my first Patek - a 5055G - on the secondary market - the watch was originally purchased in 2005.
First - should I consider having the watch serviced? If so can you ship it to the Stern Agency? Also the watch has some scratches on the case - will they polish the case during a routine service or do I need to specifically ask for that?
Second - I am larger fellow and the current band, which does need to be replaced due to wear, does not really fit my wrist - is there a larger size band for people like me?
Finally even thought the watch was previously owned - may I register myself as the new owner with Patek? I would like to do so and start receiving the magazine if possible.
Any other insight or recommendations for this neophyte neophyte would be appreciated.
Thanks again - Chris
