the 5208 looks like a techonological as well as a design challenge but i am questioning its financial sense for a smallish privately held company. for example, the veyron apparently costs circa €5mm per car to produce and it's sold at circa 25% of that. That is what VW disclosed to Clarkson & co of Top Gear. VW claims that they did it just to prove to themselves that the they can.
I wonder if a small-medium size private company can actually "afford" to do that?
It is probably an interesting "punt" on super-(nouveau)-rich vanity as much as anything else.
