Patek Philippe

No...this has nothing to do with William Hurt's movie. I spent over two weeks in Europe (Lille, Dresden, Hamburg, Bruges and Brussels) and came back with this... Patek Philippe 5496P-001 - Perpetual calendar with retrograde date - Apertures for day, month...  

I belong to the category of people who were not convinced by this one as I already wrote it... but the most important is that you like the watch! And well... you will never be wrong with a Patek PC... Congrats! Fx

your wrist is small like mine and that watchcase overhangs your wrist. With that sharp bezel angle and flat surfaces, you must take care the watch is not an ocean of dings and scratches. Maybe the big watch fad will pass someday.

Looking at your box and I must have bad taste because I really like your less expensive watch in that box. I know the 5396 is not a perpetual calendar, but I really love that layout of that dial.

I don´t agree, as I don´t see any relation between taste and "cheaper" watches ;-) Cheers, Oliver

My confidence in my taste is restored. There's just something about the 5396 that I've always appreciated. I even loved the previous version with the sector dial.

Only the best: Patek and ALS my favourites + Moser very nice addition. And PC one of my favourite complications. Definitely VERY VERY nice collection. And your latest addition fits very well with the others. Congrats! I am also a huge fan of beautiful PP ...
