When someone spends that kind of money on a watch he is certainly entitled to be interested in whether it can stand up to extensive use. Thus, I think question #2 is very much relevant and valid. It may be irrelevant in the sense that Pateks generally are...

The only Nautilus i'd consider with leather strap would be 5726...maybe 5711R

And how very true. Yesterday, I took a look at the 5711/1a and the 5167/1a and for me it was the latter that won hands down.

No comments on your items 1 & 3 but with regard to your item 2, it must be the PP5711. The Aquanuat is too casual though it is an excellent watch. Henry Hoe

5711/1A 5167/1A (brown dial), 5711G, caught my eye...tot abt them for a few days...almost took the plunge (on 5167/1A) but held back...cos i know in the end it will be the 5711/1A
