watch stopped
its not very difficult to wind the watch. i was wearing it for days since i purchased it and suddenly noticed that the time was an hour or so behind and it had completely stopped. this is the second Patek in a row that has to be sent back to Geneva, the other being #5167A which now works fine since i got it back. i own quite a few watches and handle all of them very carefully. i am very frustrated.

my new #5980 which i just picked up last week has completely stopped. winding does not restart it. has anyone else had any problems with the 5980?

like the 3712/1a ?? I am hearing this news very often but nothing officially.......... or maybe they are just calling back the first series like Rolex Milgauss green crystal ... thanks for your info !

I just purchased a 5980 today. My AD called and offered me a 5980 so I snapped it up and felt like I was a lucky guy. Too bad I was not more aware of the 5980 quality issues before I made my purchase. I guess I should be reading the discussion boards more...
