As the main issue I think from what I have read was with the initially announced power reserve of 60 hours that went down to 48 hours due to power necessary for annual calendar day/month jumps.
But am curious as to why they actually added those two jewels if the initial movement was still working fine and it did not improve the power reserve either eh eh

The two extra jewels are cap jewels on the escape wheel, you can see them from the case back
In the future (if production goes on long enough) it'll probably get jeweled barrel arbors, which will be another +2
