The 5711-1R would be my choice. Everyday any day and I will say 3 times on Sunday. It is a special watch (full disclosure I am biased), but it is special. The warm tones of gold and the rich clean
choclate dial. Yummy. I prefer it over it's steel brother but that is another story. Also as others have noted and I agree, the dial is a bit cluttered on the 5712.

Normally I’d be inclined to pick the more technically interesting of the two
But in my opinion, the bracelet is so much a part of the nautilus that I’d have to stick with the regular 5711.
Less is more, and 'mhz vph' perfectly summarised it.

Both great pieces, but the 5711r is one of my grails. I would choose it over the 5712 every day and twice on Sunday.😁

The dial of the 5712 is a tad too cluttered, the way the complications are located doesn't feel right.
Both amazing choice for sure Bill. You already have a lot of great watch and I think some packet with bracelet … so I understand your interest for the complication…but…
For me here I would pick the bracelet with the simpler dial. Very personal choice, I am just not sure about the dial layout of the complication one…

Needs Leather
The 5712 would look more formidable on the Alligator strap. The composite doesn't work IMO as one would undoubtedly have other watches to wear if water was a question.
5711 all the way…
As other said the bracelet is an important part of the design and the simple dial is a more beautiful and powerful design. For me, the Nautilus is about an unusual sculptural design. Quirky even…. not about complications
Tough to choose here Bill. Since you already have several Nautilus models, maybe the 5712R but if it was only 1 Nautilus, then the 5711 on bracelet for sure....
