Patek Philippe

Hi All, I will like to hear your thoughts about Patek 5711-1R. I only have one Patek which is the 5205R that I mostly used as a dress watch. I have actually been eyeing this watch since it was launched but never set my mind to get it. However, it seems to...  

The 5711/1R wears beautifully. My 5711/1p is too heavy by comparison. The steel is lighter and nice but the R is just the right amount of heft on your wrist. True, the R does scratch but this is just a record of your life with the watch. Wear the scratche... 

In my eyes the 5711R is the queen in the 5711 series, I like it very much and you can wear it as a dresser as well as a casual watch. I also like the weight of the watch, wearing heavy gold or platinum is so more sexy than all these lightweight stuff... U...  

this is a fantastic watch. you will not regret it! ...

benlee338, Reading your post revealed all the pros and cons relevant to you. The background, other watches owned, likes and dislikes, urgency of supply/demand, etc. You can start with the end (paradox) because you do not like the steel version. That leave... 

Actually, I made up my mind 90% to get it. But it is always good to have some reaffirmation from fellow collectors. Also to hear if anyone got some bad experience about this watch to share.

benlee338 We need your first official post-ownership wrist shot. It will be beautiful. The rose gold is most pretty. There is nothing wrong with this model....and I only like a few Patek Philippe models! Unfortunately the current Mrs MTF used her veto pow... 

But I am still waiting. Might take some time. It's not so easy to get Lol.

You already have an amazing watch collection and I think this would be a great one for you to add although my preference is white metal.

Just not my cup of tea. It will get scratched; gold, satin finish and full bracelet will be a scratch magnet combo. However, if you like it, you should go for it. I would not shop around for ideas.
