Going by the archives scan posted earlier, its clear Dauphine is the correct description of the dial markers. I've often seen these markers referred to as 'Arabic' markers, which somehow makes more sense to me (from the font) and does't confuse with the Dauphine style of hands.

a convincing answer to your question pertaining to the hands of the watch you have pictured. The simple answer is, the hands on the watch shown in the picture are NOT Dauphine hands. Cheers. Francois

First, beautiful watch! What is the reference, please? Second, I think you're asking about the hands, not the markers? Those are spade-style hands. Dauphine you would find on a Reference 96 or 2526 or current 5196, etc.
