Hi,
both will live side by side - IMO a very good decision .
The "classic" Calatrava dial with the typical, applied stick markers/45° tip, will be availlable for both
metalls cases - i.e. rose and white gold.
There's only one on display in Basel (the white gold version) - they didn't even have one in the preentation collection, that's why I wasn't able to take pictures other than from the showcase.
It's not that someone would need to complain 
.... personally I happen to like the "sector" dial, but I know from many others that they aren't particulary fond of it either - the case though issimply georgous and I never heard any sort of complain about it. To me it seems very straight forward to add another dial - variete is almost always not a bad thing ;-)
