Congrats!
Congrats on being one of the first to be offered the 5270G!
I vote a definite go because:
1) Case material is different between the 5270G and 5970P
2) Dial color is sufficiently different (Silver vs Black)
3) Size is different (40 vs 41)
4) Movement is different- the 5270G has the first PP in house calibre with perpetual calendar and non split second chrono
I don't have the 5970P but it is definitely on my wish list and I would still like to pick one up one day, after I get the 5270G.
The price hike is definitely annoying but overall in the long term, i think the watch will at the very least maintain it's value and hopefully appreciate a bit.
