You'll find even a closer family resemblance, of the 5296G "sector dial", to the 1930's Patek ref: 96, in stainless and blued hands: Patek Philippe Magazine, number eight, page 18.
I also prefer the cal. 324 over the 240. The 240 is a very nice movement, but I prefer the traditional full rotor, and the "indirect centre-second" complication.

Ok.. I get the 5296 is a nice watch, but check out the new dial of the 6000G.. I had a choice between the 2 and the 240 and the new dial sealed the deal for me....
