Patek Philippe

despite some criticism both are beautiful pieces

While you're being offered the 5975G, the J to me really goes the best.   Beautiful dial and it has that vintage feel.   The case is absolutely phoenominal in the flesh and while I it does lack sub dials the whole thing works for me.   I have many chromos both vintage and new and while I love watches I can't think of too many times where I have actually timed events longer then a minute with them.   Only aside for me is I do wish it hat the manual 29 movement, and possibly multi color for the mutli scale ala old Longines for legibility, though the 5975J is more readable in person.

From my time searching there weren't too many that weren't allocated from dealers.

While I havent' seen the 5975G in the flesh it does look a little more washed out to me, less distinct.

As far as the 5575g it is less legible in some light but the dial really works for me.   The work on the case is beautiful and the whole package is a winner to me.

I do also love the 5131 and that lovely dial, but I do think that there are also plenty of them floating around for sale (with crazy mark-ups) because it seems to me that a big cross section of those simply went to flippers.  Sad.

So since I love the 5975J, I would opt for the 5575g if given your choice.
