Well Christian, the problem is that I saw J and this one but not the G previous version in the metal so it is very hard to tell.
I just can say that the new blue is very much more fitting my taste. It is not casual, it is very elegant and refined but has a modern touch I like a lot. Definitely more contemporary, updated to our current epoch.
The older one seems to be very different in terms of style (very classical) but I don't think the dial color together with blackened numerals are to my taste.
Nevertheless, this is very subjective and not at all a proof that it might be better or not. If you're into the previous one, it is quite a unique layout and could look great with any outfits.
This is really up to you but I think the case design and movement totally are worth it.

I prefer thinner fabric with a nice suit
or with jeans (whatever the jacket) as I also like the contrast modern/classical and the fact they have the blue color in common. Of course any smart (or suit) trousers with a nice shirt is perfect too... But I imagine the only limitation is not a jogging...

All bespoke suits I have, are from thinnest possible material. The "everyday" suits are another thing. Best, Kari
