For me both versions of the 5131R are alike and all versions are totally worth it
In this case, the cities ring is a picture at one time. It evolves and I can assume it will continue to.
None is better than another (except maybe someone who really uses it for specific reasons, like work, friends/family living abroad etc...) if we consider the work of art (and not practical use).
I love yours and wish I owned it too.

Interesting mix of dials
I\'ve noticed that there seems to be a roughly 50:50 mix of 5131R\'s with and without the polar ice cap showing.
Good observation Russell ! For me, I prefer the dial ...
with the ice cap because it is a more true depiction of the world and add more color to the dial !
