... I can well understand your happiness and admiration for this model, as this is exactly my dream watch, my grail watch or whichever way we can call the timepiece that haunts me since long time ago.
Of course I have been following every post published here about the 5110 by our dear Nicolas, and that last one telling the "True Story" of his Universal Time since its finding in Taormina and the whereabouts of how he came to own his PP ten years ago was the coronation of all of his posts. I almost could view the scenes he described in that post that I enjoyed so much reading.
I feel fortunate to beeing able to try on my wrist Nicolas´ watch a few weeks ago and that meant throwing more fuel to the fire of my love for this watch.
I am very fond of Universal Hours timepieces and completely agree that the PP version is the King of them all.
I agree that watches come to us collectors... but it is also true that many of them seem to be very elusive to us by some strange reason. And in those cases a long chase and sometimes many years of hunting are necessary to finally make a dream come true.
This seems to be the case of the PP Universal Hours to me. As a matter of fact, I have been very near of getting mine in two or three occassions since 2012 and I missed the boat in all of them. May be in 2015 I will get another chance.
I wish you´ll enjoy in good health being "part of the gang", as well as "admiring time not reading time" as it has been said in this thread. I feel that these descriptions were fantastic ways of rendering tribute to this wonderful timepiece from PP.
Best cordial regards, Abel.
