appreciation/depreciation doesn't matter. Spend your money the way you want to spend it. Let your friends spend their's on what they want or, more likely, what they think will impress others. I've had watches. I've had cars. Different things bring you pleasure at different times (pun intended) in your life. Always be true to yourself. You'll never go wrong. You have a beautiful watch that will bring you much pleasure. Enjoy it as often as you can.
