Thought I’d like the time only model over the complicated big date - turns out I was wrong. The big date on the strap wears a lot smaller than the bracelet model. Both wear larger than my 5711. ...  

In addition to how they wear on the wrist in terms of size, what are your thoughts on how they look 👀 in the metal and what is your overall assessment ?

The blue dial large date looks smaller than the olive green SS time only as the bracelet on the latter is wide at the case and adds to the visual. Not tempted by either. I thought that the green dial would have more “pop” but didn’t under the boutique lig... 

What was your overall assessment? I’ve heard ppl say that it’s too big. I hope it doesn’t bring back the huge watch trend.

I did prefer the large date model and really liked the strap - preferred it to the supersized Nautilus bracelet. The east-west real estate on the watch is really large and noticeable in the way which the ears on the Nautilus are not.

….especially the time only version. People seem especially critical because of the incredibly stupid model line name. Thanks sharing.

Imho it makes more sense logically, plus adds a kinda geeky cool mathematics angle. Squared as in math Square shape Second 'generation'... Nautilus²

To see them in the Tokyo boutique already, even as display only models considering the press release was a few days ago.

I suspect that whatever experience you may have had in prior allocations would be no different this time around.

Confirms what I’d thought - the size is, ah, aspirational. My wrists aren’t small, but a 5711 or even the slightly larger 5811 would be a more…consensual…size for me. Mr Stern indicated that there would be other sizes, so perhaps there will be a smaller b... 

Overall the large date model looks way smaller as the bracelet on the time only appears gargantuan in width and impacts the whole visage making the watch look considerably bigger. Owning a 5711 already there’s nothing I saw today that would entice me to p... 

Well, if Patek thinks 44.5 mm × 44.9 mm in dimensions are what the young generation of customers wants, so be it. For the traditional collector it is a bit "shocking". As I said before, the blue complicated one is actually qute nice looking, the complicat...

But I dislike them all. I find Thierry's remarks to be pretentious and arrogant. He said that he doesn't care about the haters of the cubitus because they can't afford it anyway 🤦🏻‍♂️ Modern Patek is extremely unappealing to me. Not to mention the 45mm si... 

and felt they were not comfortable on the wrist as I had expected and not very elegant looking. Very wide and bulky for me and I can usually wear some larger watches without issue. I did like the usual Patek finishing and perhaps would have warmed to it m... 

That are so ugly and boring that they look like April Fools jokes, it makes me seriously wonder whether the leadership has reached a level of laziness that will make a sale of the company inevitable.

However, I can’t stop thinking this is what a Cartier rip off of the Nautilus would look like…the Nautilus is just so much more in so many ways

I'm looking at my Pateks at this moment and can't believe that this monster is from the same brand 🫣
